High speeds

High speeds

High-speed lubrication often poses problems with respect to the lubricant’s stability and adherence.

The centrifugal phenomena (at high rotation speed) must be fought so as to avoid the following drawbacks :

  1. Excessive heating,

  2. Evacuation of the lubricant, thus causing wear,

  3. Degradation of the lubricant (shearing phenomenon),

These conditions of lubrication require particular adherence characteristics. The dn factor (average diameter of the bearing in mm, multiplied by the rpm speed) is one of the main criteria for choosing a lubricant.
